Listing Comments: Commuting distance from Beaufort, Hilton Head, etc., We are not military ourselves, so aren't exactly sure which base is closer. A lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle, yet within reach of downtown Savannah in less than an hour. It is also located exactly 5 minutes from beautiful Lake Warren State Park and about 20 minutes to jump onto I-95 straight on to Walterboro in another 15 minutes. It is currently FOR RENT - NOT RENT TO OWN. The local real estate agents have valued this house in excess of $70,000.00, so this is what you would be RENTING. There is new laminate flooring as you walk into the large living room which leads onto a 24' hallway. The four bedrooms also have new carpets installed, and the 1.5 baths have been gutted and re-done. Each bedroom is large enough for a double/queen bed. Main is large enough for a king and has the half bath. All new paint in all rooms. New lower cabinets in the large kitchen with enough room for a dining table as well as a breakfast bar, garbage disposal, large picture window facing onto woods full of old trees. The area is also known as a hunter's paradise, if that is your thing. There is a golf course and driving range nearby. If you are into nature, the surrounding woods give the sense that the property is much larger than the .5 acres that it sits on. New, very efficient central heat and air and updated wiring. Has washer hookups, stove and Fridge. Large attached garage that could be enclosed if you wanted to do that, but is currently a drive in and can access kitchen through the inside door. At the end of a short well-kept county road/path with friendly neighbors and no none incidents of crime. Convenient to both Hilton Head and Beaufort/blufton also. Hampton District 2 Schools. A great deal of work and money has been spent on this house and no one has lived in it since the renovation was completed. The nearest large grocery stores are in Estill (4 miles) and Hampton (7 miles). There is a nice deli-general store right in Luray for your immediate daily needs such as Boar's Head sandwiches(!) milk, bread, etc., and a post office. Also, please look at a map before ringing because if you plan to commute to any of the larger areas we have mentioned, you should consider this beforehand. It is just off a main highway, but it WILL take you more than 30 minutes to get to any major cities. Would be great for folks working at the Beaufort Air Base, for instance. Please ring us direct as this house is not going to sit for long and we have a number of folks looking at it this weekend. We love animals and yours are welcome with an additional $100 deposit per pet. Sorry, but as there is no fence, no pit bulls, Rottweilers or Dobermans. We will need a $600 deposit plus the pet deposit. We can consider breaking this over two payments. No promises, but will seriously listen to your proposal.
